Description: BR/English Electric 400hp Class "08" 0-6-0 No.13029 (later D3029; 08 021) in 1949 BR black livery, emblem and number, preserved, at Tyseley, 09/10. The engine is an English Electric 6KT. Developed from the LMS/EE 350 hp shunter (Class "11"), 996 Class "08s" were built from 1952 to 1962 in the BR workshops at Crewe, Derby, Darlington, Doncaster and Harwich. Withdrawals began in 1967 but there are many still shunting on the privatised network and on industrial sites, aside from those being used by preserved railways.
