Description: An old version of the Seal of the President of the United States, printed in an 1885 article in the magazine the Daily Graphic. The text of the article indicated it was a smaller version of the 1850 seal (also pictured in the article), but the label "The Old Seal" and the fact it has 27 stars would seem to indicate it dates from around 1846, and was the seal the 1850 version replaced.
