Description: The Duesenberg No 12 Murphy Special, the only car ever to win both Indianapolis 500 (1922) and the French Grand Prix at Le Mans (1921). The 10th International 500-Mile Sweepstakes Race was held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Tuesday, May 30, 1922. Jimmy Murphy was the first driver to win the race from the pole position.
