Description: Candyapple Red. The 1969 Mustang got a new body, nearly 4 inches longer than the 1968 model. The Fastback was now called the Sportsroof and the sporty model was now the Mach 1, it got sports suspension, reflective striping, matt black hood, with functional scoop and lock pins. Other options were the 'Shaker' hood, front and rear spoilers and rear window louvre. Engines available in the Mach 1 were; 2 and 4 bbl 351 Windsor V8s, the 390 and 428 Cobra Jet and Super Cobra Jet. Other Sportsroofs available were the Boss 302 (for Trans Am homologation) and Boss 429 (for NASCAR homologation) Hardtops and Convertibles also available in base models
