Description: Athenian ostrakon (piece of pottery inscribed with the name of a politician proposed for exile by popular vote, the so-called "ostracism"). This specimen bears the name of Aristides, who was submitted to the vote in 483 BC. On display in the Ancient Agora Museum in Athens, housed in the Stoa of Attalus.
