Description: This is a gif animation of interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS (formerly A11pl3Z) moving across a field of trailed stars. Each frame is a 600-second exposure where the telescope is actively following the object, so the stars appear trailed while the object appears pointlike. North is up, East is left. These images were taken by the Deep Random Survey's 0.43-meter telescope in Chile. Images from 2025 July 2, 00:42-01:23 UT The sporadic single white pixels across the image are hot (defective) pixels in the camera.
