Description: The houses at 729 (left)) and 731 (right) St. Nicholas Avenue between West 146th and 147th Streets in the Hamilton Heights area of the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, were built in 1885-86 and were designed by Boston architect Theodore Minot Clark in the Victorian Romanesque style. The houses are faced with Manhattan schist, wood shingles and terra cotta. The buildings are located in New York City's Hamilton Heights/Sugar Hill Historic District.
