Description: A U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter assigned to the Colorado Army National Guard flies to perform a water drop while fighting the Black Forest Fire near Colorado Springs, Colo., June 12, 2013. The Black Hawks, which were sent from the Army Aviation Support Facility at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colo., performed the water drops using helicopter buckets that could carry up to 500 gallons of water. The Black Hawks could make more than 20 drops before refueling. The Black Forest Fire started June 11, 2013, northeast of Colorado Springs, burning scores of homes and forcing large-scale evacuations. The Colorado National Guard and U.S. Air Force Reserve assisted in firefighting efforts.
