Description: The earliest Neolithic evidence for the beginnings of a wine culture in which wine dominated social and economic life has been found in Georgia. The qvevri has a capacity of approximately 100 litres, while its shape, with a broad body and narrow base, resembles that of a modern-day qvevri.
