Description: Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet - Tilt Hammers, near to Beauchief, Sheffield, Great Britain. These two hammers are driven via the waterwheel outside SK3281 : Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet - Waterwheels. This runs the horizontal wooden shaft which operates like a camshaft to run the hammers. They made wrought iron sythes. Behind me is a forge for reheating the metal for further working.
