尾張徳川家の江戸屋敷の中で最も広大な 「戸山御屋敷」 （東京都新宿区） で焼かれた御庭焼が戸山焼である。 延宝元年 （1673） にはすでに操業しており、 天保11年 （1840） に市ヶ谷屋敷の楽々園焼の窯もここに移された。 瀬戸の陶工が出仕していたことも明らかになっている。
