Description: A gun crew mans their weapon aboard the Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft carrier Akagi. This is a twin 120mm, 45-caliber anti-aircraft gun position mounted on the port side of the carrier. Note that the position is mounted too low to enable it to fire across the flight deck. The photo was taken in November or December 1941 as the carrier headed towards Hawaii for the attack on Pearl Harbor.
