Description: Alexander James House (Evergreen House), 26 Newcastle Street, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Photographed 26 Sept. 2012 by Stephanie Clay. Built in the 1800s by Judge James and his wife Harriet Hawthorne. Later owned by the Creightons (family of Helen Creighton, Canadian folklorist). Currently home to the Dartmouth Heritage Museum.
