Description: General George B. McClellan was criticized most harshly for his disposition at the Battle of Malvern Hill. McClellan boarded the USS Galena while his soldiers fought and left for Harrison's Landing in Virginia to inspect the place. (McClellan's Army of the Potomac was supposed to be stationed there in the future).
