Description: The ruin of what may have been the assay office in Duquesne, Arizona. On the floor inside the building are hundreds of core sample fragments. It was built of adobe, which may have been on purpose because adobe buildings are much more fire-resistant than wooden frame buildings. It is located on the main road through town, next to another adobe ruin that was supposedly a commerical building.
