Description: c/n 227 Originally built by Handley Page in 1969 as an HP137 Jetstream Mk.1 with the registration G-AXJZ. It was immediately exported to America but returned to the UK in 1979 under the ownership of British Aerospace. In 1980 it flew as the prototype Jetstream 3100, more commonly known as the Jetstream 31. It was used as a demonstrator until roughly 1990 when it was stored at Prestwick before joining Scotland’s National collection. On display in Hangar 4 at the National Museum of Flight (part of National Museums Scotland). East Fortune Airfield, East Lothian, Scotland. 13th September 2017.
