Description: Image of a contemporary fibre glass commercial salmon bow picker on a trailer. This boat is a common design found in the waters of British Columbia, Canada. The gill net is evident on the metal drum located in the bow of the boat. The gill net is set & picked up between the vertical guides and setting and pick up is aided by the horizontal roller. The bow picker generally has a set of steering and directional controls in the bow.
