Description: Diagram of Shrapnel Shell (Light) Mk I, for British BL 6 inch 30 cwt howitzer. Length 19.62 inches, diameter 5.97 inches, weight filled and fuzed 100 lbs. Contains 905 bullets, 27/lb. A wooden cylinder surrounds the central tube to reduce total weight to 100 lbs without reducing length of shell. Threaded for 2-inch gauge fuze.
