Description: The stairway balustrade of the Southgate-Lewis House was constructed by the renowned builder Robert C. Lambie and has been referred to as "one of the finest staircases in all of Austin." This photograph shows the balustrade and the landing at the top of the staircase on the second floor directly after the house was saved from demolition, restored and preserved, circa 1980.
