Description: Memorial to the Barnbow Lasses - 42 female munition workers who were killed in an explosion on 5 December 1916 at Barnbow. Located on the centre division of the Crossgates Road dual carriageway, just by the roundabout which joins it to the A6120 Ring Road. It consists of 3 stones with the centre one bearing a descriptive plaque. Individual bricks around it give the name of each woman killed.
