Description: Pencil and ink sketch on thin, blue-lined writing paper shows a church with a mountain labeled "Soharro" behind it. Bartlett's Personal Narrative shows that he was in Arizpe from May 30 until June 3, 1851 and was fascinated by this church. The notation "Soharro" refers to the giant saguaro cactus that is characteristic of the Sonoran Desert.
