Description: One of the 104 decorated pigs on display in the English city of Bath, in an event called “King Bladud’s Pigs in Bath”. This was a public art event to celebrate Bath, its origins and its artists - and provide residents and visitors with artistic enjoyment. Artists were given identical pigs to decorate. The results were put on display throughout the summer of 2008 around the city and local areas. The pigs have been auctioned to raise funds for the Two Tunnels Project. This will create a route, using an abandoned rail trackbed, beneath Combe Down - the high ground south of the city - creating an almost level and direct route between the city centre of Bath and the Sustrans path NCN 24, 2½ miles south of the city - a gateway to a wider network of routes. The right hand pig with the coloured patches is "Abi" painted by Annette Smith, the left hand pig is "Emily" painted by Charlotte Moore. Photographed by Adrian Pingstone in July 2008 and released to the public domain.
