Description: c/n BA-111 Built in 1955, this E.18 was used as a corporate transport in the US until 1964 when it flew to the UK and was modified for surveying work which included fitting a transparent nose cone. It joined Survey Flights Ltd in Northern Island who operated it until 1968, when it joined the Scottish Airline Loganair. Converted to a nine-seat passenger layout, it then operated the airlines passenger and newspaper routes. In July 1969 it carried out the airlines first international service when it flew from Glasgow to Stavanger, Norway, via Aberdeen. During its time with Loganair it also served as an Air Ambulance, due to its long range capability. It was retired in March 1975 due to the cost of an upcoming wingspar inspection, but by March 1976 it had been safely preserved as part of the Scottish national collection. It is currently on display in the Civil Aviation Hangar at the National Museum of Flight (part of National Museums Scotland). East Fortune Airfield, East Lothian, Scotland. 13th September 2017.
