Description: Belgrave House is A fine red brick house of three storeys, five windows. All sashes with glazing bars, flat brick arches. Slate hipped roof. Stucco bands and modillion eaves cornice. Round-headed recess over centre windows, which on the first floor has a pulvinated frieze and small cornice. Central door and traceried fanlight, but later glazing, doorcase with Tuscan half-columns and open modillion pediment. Two one-storey side wings with doors between two windows, all with round heads with tracery, above is a balustraded parapet with ramped ends to house and to brick piers, each side surmounted by three urns. Including contemporary wrought iron railings, and stucco piers with balls. Rear elevation: central three-storey splayed bay, moulded brick cornice, five windows. Relatively plain interior with staircase with plain balusters, and secondary staircase. St Peter's Church, Belgrave Hall and Garden Walls, Stables and Monument to Edward Holdsworth, the Gateway and Railings to Belgrave Gardens, Belgrave House and Stables all in Church Road, together with Cross Corners in Thurcaston Road form a group.
