Description: Students and teachers at the Belmont school during the 1931-1932 school year. The community of Belmont is west of Farmington, Washington in rural Whitman County between Garfield and Oakesdale on Highway 27. This area was settled as early as 1886. The school was established in 1891. In 1941 half of the school district consolidated with Oakesdale and the other half with Garfield. Note: names read as subjects appear left to right, front to back.
