Description: Brooks Island Regional Preserve, Richmond, California This Oystercatcher has an eye fleck in it's eye. There is a theory that female Oystercatchers have full flecks and males have either none or only partial flecks. After studying other photos I took of this bird, I think this fleck is only a partial fleck. I'm guessing it's a male.
