Description: Kent (Κάντιον) as written in Strabo's Geographica (1.4.3), from its prototype manuscript Parisinus gr 1397 f.42r (11th century). The text highlighted in blue reads:
"ἀντίκειται γὰρ ἀλλήλοις τά τε ἑῷα ἄκρα τοῖς ἑῴοις καὶ τὰ ἑσπέρια τοῖς ἑσπερίοις, καὶ τά γε ἑῷα ἐγγὺς ἀλλήλων ἐστὶ μέχρις ἐπόψεως, τό τε Κάντιον καὶ αἱ τοῦ Ῥήνου ἐκβολαί. ὁ δὲ πλειόνων ἢ δισμυρίων τὸ μῆκος ἀποφαίνει τῆς νήσου, καὶ τὸ Κάντιον ἡμερῶν τινων πλοῦν ἀπέχειν τῆς Κελτικῆς φησι"
