Standing behind Kittermaster and Barton is the Resident of Aden, Sir Stewart Symes. Young Wilfred Thesiger, who had been invited by Selassie to attend the event, is standing in the 4th row (arrow). Thesiger was born in Addis Ababa where his father was then the British Minister.
