Description: The Broadway Bridge (in Portland, Oregon) is a bascule-type drawbridge that was completed in 1913 and is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. In this view from the bridge's southern approach viaduct, on Broadway, a streetcar (car 003) of the Portland Streetcar system is entering the bridge, eastbound on the CL Line, which opened in 2012. Although only barely discernible, a second streetcar is also crossing the bridge here (car 015, blue), westbound. The Broadway Bridge previously carried streetcars from 1913 to 1940. The stairway at right goes to NW Naito Parkway. This is an image of a place or building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America.
