Description: For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. On Jan 20.56. Chancellor Konrad Adenauer visited for the first time the newly establihed German Army at Andernach. The Chancellor reviewed Army, Navy and Airforce groups on the camp grounds and addressed the German Soldiers in a short speech after he was introduced by Defense Minister Theodor Blank. Chancellor Adenauer accompanied by Defense Minister Theodor Blank, and Camp Commander Col. Philip (far right) review troops.
