Description: Modesty swimsuit or burkini, displayed on mannequin as part of the museum exhibition Second Skin: The Science of Stretch at the Chemical Heritage Foundation, on view from November 4, 2016 to May 6, 2017. The four piece modesty swimsuit set is made of 80% polyester and 20% spandex. It consists of pants, tunic, hair cap and swim hijab. The navy blue legging-style pants have stirrups to go under the feet.

The teal and navy blue tunic is soft to the touch and has long sleeves. The tunic has ties on the inside to tie to the bottom pieces. The teal blue swim cap/underscarf covers the hair and is worn under the swim hijab. The swim hijab is a navy blue hood which covers neck and hair with an opening for the face. The hijab is to be placed over a swim cap/underscarf.
