Description: A few volumes of the journals of the two houses of the California State Legislature. The Senate's journal has a red band, while the Assembly's journal has a green band on the spine. Note that these journals normally do not contain transcripts of legislative proceedings. Rather, they merely summarize for each bill, who proposed it, who withdrew it, how it was bounced between various committees and the two houses, and what the votes were on the bill at each stage.
