Description: Carmen Nigro and his stage name was Ken Roady. Carmen's acting career as an ape supposedly began in the original 1933 "King Kong", as literally Kong the gorilla in some scenes. His most noted scene was on the Empire State Building and various other scenes when they needed full body shots. He starred in 30+ films including “ The Unholy three” with Lon Chaney, “Tarzan and his mate” and “ Tarzan of the apes” with Johnny Wise Mueller, and “Night of Horror” and “Ape Man” with Boris Karloff after he played in the original King Kong as you guessed it a gorilla. After his initial movie he would rent his gorilla suit to various Hollywood production companies along the years and he was also a movie stuntman. Mr.Ripley himself from the tv show Ripley's believe it or not said:"Carmen Nigro was the only man he knew who could imitate a gorilla whether he had a suit on or not."
