Description: Castles of Munster: Moycarkey, Tipperary This five storey tower is located about a mile to the northwest of the town of Horse & Jockey set within a large rectangular bawn. There is a circular bartizan on the SW corner, and a box machicolation is set high up over the entrance. In 1640 the castle was held by William Cantwell.
