Description: Cevio Private Grotti, Cantina, Grotto, Canvetto. These are premises that were built in the past to preserve wine and food. Sometimes hewn out of the rocks, always in a cool and shady area, mostly far from the dwellings, on the edge of the forest or on the banks of rivers and torrents. Some have been left as they were intended, as pantries for wines, charcuterie, cheeses and only in special cases are used as settings for private gatherings where meals are served. The grotti are particularly popular in summer because you can enjoy regional specialties outdoors.
