Description: Trackway of the ichnospecies Chelichnus duncani at the Amherst Museum of Natural History. There are several examples of Anomeopus gracillimus at the Amherst Museum. The fossil depicted in this picture is not Anomoepus, but one of the few examples of Permian trace fossils belonging to the ichnospecies Chelichnus duncani in the Amherst College Museum of Natural History collection. It was collected from the Coconino Sandstone of the American southwest.
