Description: Kimberlite from the Cumberland Peninsula, Baffin Island, Nunavut, Canada. Exploration company Peregrine Diamonds has been turning heads with their press releases. This hand-sized specimen contains several obvious green chrome diopside and abundant smaller wine-red pyrope garnet, which are colorful kimberlite indicator minerals (KIMs) that a prospector looks for. Chi-ching.
