Description: The Church of the Ascension Parish House at 12 West 11th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in the Grenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1843-44 as a church school, and was converted to its present state, in French Renjaissance Revival style, in 1888-9 by McKim, Mead & White.
