Description: Cinnabar Locality: Tongren Prefecture, Guizhou Province, China (Locality at mindat.org) Size: thumbnail, 3 x 2.1 x 1.6 cm Cinnabar (drillbit twin) Classic Cinnabar: twinned, superb metallic luster, and a rich red color that glows under the light, not even backlit. This is a HUGE crystal, and complete all around! There is minor bruising and, of course, it is contacted in the bottom from where it grew on matrix, but really its as complete as you can expect especially given the size. These large twins came out in the early 1990s.
