Description: This is the Clifton Florist at Clifton Avenue and Ludlow Avenue in the Clifton Gaslight District. The corner building that houses the florist is an Italianate structure that dates to the late 19th Century and is prominently located on the corner, with an extension to add additional floor space for the storefront added sometime in the early 20th Century in a more Classical Revival style, complete with a cartouche above the doorway. The building next door appears to be a colonnade-style Classical Revival apartment building from around the turn of the 20th Century, which has six apartments flanking a central hallway, a common type of building found more often in Kansas City than in Cincinnati. These structures contribute greatly to the beauty and vitality of the business district, and are a part of what makes the neighborhood one of the most desirable and vibrant in the city.
