Description: A closer view of the emergency alarm on a Toronto taxi fixed next to the licence plate of the car. The yellow sticker urgers others to call 911 if the light is flashing. A brilliant idea which other cities around the world will do well to emulate. I could not find any information as to how the alarm is activated- it's done by the passenger naturally, but how, I have no idea. I've also seen contradicting descriptions about it- some sites say it's a silent flashing light while at least one other site said it emits a piercing sound in addition to flashing.
