Description: A coastal woollybush plant, Adenanthos sericeus, in Los Angeles, California. New growth on the plant will be a little greener, though still light in color. It does grow all year round in this climate, but because the appropriate soil mix does not retain water well and neither the roots nor the leaves have much water-retaining capacity, the plant must not be allowed to thoroughly dry out in hot weather.
