Description: The "color" version of the 1948 Flag of the Vice President of the United States, defined in Executive Order 10016, which had its own unique design for the eagle surrounded by 13 stars. It was used until 1975. The color is a ceremonial version, with a 2.5 inch fringe around three edges, and displayed with an ornamental flagstaff and tassels. This is typically the version seen in the Vice President's office. The dimensions of the flag varied, but the dimensions of the color were fixed at 4 feet 4 inches by 5 feet 6 inches.
