Description: The University of Essex (in Colchester) was created in the 1960's, hence there's a lot of rectalinear concrete architecture like the library sticking up on the right. Very different from the red brick campus of the University of Birmingham (where we spent our sabbatical seven years ago). A nice place, though, and so far everyone's been very helpful and friendly as we get things sorted out.
