Description: An image showing an excerpt of the area around RSCG 55 taken from the much larger image of the Virgo Cluster. 'Cosmic Abundance' offers a vivid glimpse of the variety of objects that are visible in the cosmos. Quotingː "Visible are two prominent spiral galaxies, three merging galaxies, galaxy groups both near and distant, stars within our own Milky Way, and much more." Although spiral galaxies NGC 4411b (left) and NCG 4411a (right) appear right next to each other, they don’t show signs of interaction. The original image was downloaded and processed using GIMP v3.
