Description: This very early image shows cricket being played on the Beverley Westwood common pasture, with The Black Mill serving as its backdrop. For many years, Beverley’s main cricket ground was situated here close to The Black Mill and it continued in use up to the opening of the Norwood sports ground in 1909.
