Description: Two examples of mature squashes belonging to the informal horticultural group Cucurbita moschata Crookneck group. The upper picture is the USA Cucurbita moschata 'Neck pumpkin', similar to other "neck" winter squashes from USA, whereas the lower picture is an italian/french Cucurbita moschata probably like a trombone or trumpet squash (like those called Tromboncino, Tromba and names such) that are harvested preferably in an immature stage for eating as a summer squash, but that can be eaten also in a mature stage.
