Description: Andrew Young spoke as the second annual Tom Johnson lecturer. He is perhaps best known for working with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during the Civil Rights movement. Young was a key strategist and negotiator in the campaigns in Birmingham and Selma that resulted in the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
