Description: LARGE ROCK WHICH THE MURPHY, PIKE, FOSTER, AND EDDY FAMILIES USED AS THE FIRE PLACE AND PART WALL OF THEIR CABIN. DONNER PARTY WAS STRANDED IN THE MOUNTAINS DURING THE WINTER OF 1846-47. 89 MEMBERS MADE UP THE PARTY BUT ONLY 47 SURVIVED.
