Description: St Martin's churchyard, Stamford. Grave of Daniel Lambert,d.1809.As a child I was always fascinated by Daniel Lambert's clothes ,chair etc in a Leicester museum.As a single,childless male,I've always been baffled by the practice of proud parents of a newborn of publishing its birth weight to the nearest gram (surely only of note if out of the normal range)yet one doesn't provide such statistics on someone's demise. However, in Daniel Lambert's case, not only weight but leg and body measurements appear too!
